Each chapter has unique challenges around terrain, partnerships, and funding.  Your local/ favourite chapter has listed for you some of their main financial concerns, goals and asks.  Some chapters are simply struggling to fund TNR in your area.  TNR is the humane approach to managing the unowned cat population in rural and urban settings.

Adopt a Furry Friend Today!

Your Furry Soulmate is Most Likely a CARMA Cat

We know that pets are more than just animals, they are family. That's why we strive to match every cat with the perfect family. We also offer resources and support to ensure that the adoption process is smooth and successful.

Why adopt from CARMA?

  • CARMA cats and kittens have often been removed from colony sites because they were orphaned, sick, injured, bullied or otherwise suffering and unlikely to survive, let alone thrive, in colony conditions.
  • Cats and kittens removed from colonies are placed in private foster homes where they are socialized, trained and cared for until ready for adoption.
  • CARMA cats and kittens do not live in a cage all day as they may need to at a shelter. They are regularly handled and played with by their foster humans. After a quarantine period, many are exposed to children and other animals in the home.
  • CARMA cats and kittens are treated for fleas, ear mites, worms and other internal and external parasites.
  • Every cat and kitten placed by CARMA is spayed/neutered at CARMA expense.

CARMA cats make wonderful pets. We are careful to ensure they get wonderful homes.  We ask more questions than other organizations to ensure the best available placement, often because our questions help adopters define the type of cat that would best suit their lifestyle.  #beyondcute

Our thoroughness ensures every cat is placed in an ideal forever home.

CARMA cats and kittens are not for sale, however, we request a donation to help offset costs and enable us to continue TNR efforts in your area.  Each chapter sets its suggested donation amount.
